On September 29 over 90 women participated in Mentor Up, a speed mentoring event held at the RTP Headquarters. Jean Davis, CEO of MCNC, kicked off the morning with an inspiring keynote outlining her tips for career success, happiness, and giving back to the community. Thirty women from RTP companies offered their time to serve as mentors, giving advice to sixty “mentees” from across the region. The general consensus of the morning was that while women face additional challenges navigating career paths in business, this is a good area for women in business with role models and mentors who genuinely care about connecting and encouraging each other in their careers.
