Once, industry left North Carolina – and the jobs went with it.

But one man – Archie Davis – saw his state’s infrastructure crumbling around him and decided he needed to do something – and fast.

So he got behind the wheel, drove all around North Carolina, and asked for the collaboration and support of everyday citizens, politicians, developers and professors.

Together, they built the Research Triangle Park in the very heart of the state.

And their endeavor became a legendary economic success story.

Fifty-odd years later, the Research Triangle Foundation has not forgotten its roots – Archie Davis – or the people of North Carolina – in this time of economic turmoil.

To honor our founders – and our principles – we are hitting the road.

Our mission? We want to hear from you – (yes, you!) – as well as the innovators and entrepreneurs working to move our state forward.

Together, we’re going to dream up something amazing – and then, we’re actually going to build it.
