Many companies have embraced the Internet and have aggressive digital initiatives but they don’t realize the impact user centered web processes can have on an overall strategy. When embraced and properly executed, the web strategy can become your corporate strategy and is core to the enterprise. Beyond the obvious influences on mobile, social media, and other web based initiatives, its effects can have significant impact on brand and your entire communications and technology strategy right down to customer service. You cannot underestimate the experiential power of the web and how social engagement has changed the face of business strategy. The fact is traditional positioning and marketing approaches are not the answer anymore and embracing the web as the new center of your corporate marketing and customer engagement strategy holds more answers than many realize.
Speaker Bio: Mark Rosenberg
Over 25 years in business providing professional services consulting, that began with selling a class project at East Carolina University and founding a successful marketing firm in North Carolina. The firm was solid in 1995 after 110 awards for creative excellence and it was the beginning of a run with corporate America with BTI telecommunications and IBM. At IBM, Mark managed the worldwide Internet operations for IBM’s PC division and Marketing and strategy for IBM e-business services operating unit. As the Internet boom was emerging in the mid 90’s, Mark moved to the west coast as a member of the executive team with two start-ups and then became a partier with leading San Francisco based Internet consulting firm, Liquid Thinking. Mark started TrueParallel in Newport Beach, California in 2001 as an Internet technology and digital marketing consulting firm and moved to Raleigh, North Carolina in July, 2006. Mark possesses a unique blend of marketing, technology and user-centered expertise and is considered an expert in digital marketing, web technology and user centered design.
Mark has participated in large-scale strategy and technology projects at all levels from the creative process and project management to providing strategic direction for user experience, marketing initiatives and technology engagements. Mark is a proficient writer and creative resource and commands a broad understanding of digital technology, social media and web development.
Varied client experience includes North Carolina State University, North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission, Doctors Vision Center, GE Healthcare, Sun Microsystems, Trenton Technology, CHD Meridian Healthcare, Allergan Optical, Cypress Semiconductor, IBM, NYSE.com, and Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Corporation.
