Meeting Purpose:

  • To develop a better understanding of ethical, regulatory, and policy issues involved in conducting community-engaged research in national and international settings
  • To provide a forum for researchers, regulators, and community representatives to network and form partnerships

Educational Objectives:

  • To raise awareness of participants as partners in research
  • To provide tools for conducting community-engaged research
  • To identify roles, responsibilities, and challenges of stakeholders in conducting community-engaged research
  • To clarify the role of 45 CFR 46 in protecting human subjects and community Research Conference
